This month has been a flurry of fall (ish) activities. Although the weather has not dipped below the upper 70's (until  today, we have forged ahead with all things autumn- boots and blue jeans included.

Wyatt had his second annual field trip to Old Baker Farm last week, and I took the day off for some rompin, stompin' and sheep pettin'. Wyatt didn't seem to notice the sweltering heat, nor the horrendous sinus headache that ensued after a day of playing in the hay :). He was simply content to pull cotton buds, pet animals and lunch in a loft. The pumpkin patch was a definite added bonus.

Last weekend, we joined Delaney for Boo at the Zoo. We decided to break tradition and head south rather than north. Partially to try something new, but mostly to miss out on some of the crowd, we broke from the norm and maneuvered our way to Montgomery. The kids enjoyed themselves and the lack of lines was enough to sell me. We may just be doing this next year as well.

Tomorrow, we are joining our friends in the Susan G. Komen walk. As "Wendie's Warriors" Wyatt and I will sport hot pink and head downtown in honor of my dear friend who has fought back against stage two with everything she's got. October is certainly rounding out to be an exciting month... no pun intended :)
